Our school grow rapidly since very beginning. With enrollment over 1,100 each school year, SDHXCS has become the largest Chinese language educational organization in San Diego.  Five programs (Bilingual, Regular, Credit, AP Chinese, and Enrichment) offer 60 Chinese classes and over 30 enrichment classes to meet the needs of our students with different levels of proficiency and interests.

In 2003, SDHXCS's Credit Program (Level I through Level IV) was born. The program is widely accredited by local school districts. In 2006, AP Chinese course was added. The course is approved by and registered with College Board. The programs are fully accredited by ASC WACS (Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Colleges and Schools).

Weekly Reminder 2015-09-17

Dear Hua Xia families,

What  a wonderful opening day we had last week! Everything went well!  Big “Thanks!" to all of you, students, parents, teachers, staffs, and all volunteers!

Student ID, username, password?
Every student who is enrolled in a Chinese class has an ID (username). Ask your teacher about it if you don't know yours. It is the key to login to moodle and check homework and announcement from your teacher. It is also the key to register for Enrichment class.  If you are a new student, or if you have never logged in to your account, the default password is your date of birth (yyyymmdd). You have to change the password the first time you login. For all returning students, your password used before are still valid.

Enrichment class
Start this coming Sunday, Sept. 20. Course schedule/description and registration is available on school website. Each class may have limited seats, first come first served. The 1st lesson (9/20, 1/17) are considered "trial" class. Tuition must be submitted by the 2nd lesson. No refund or prorate. No change of class.

Dance and Yoga classes will be held in J-201 studio this year. J building is next to the office.

Parents, if your student is new to this campus, and if s/he is at a young age, please take your student to the enrichment class, at least for this week, to ensure your student get to the right classroom on time.

Safety
Safety is always our #1 issue. Please drive slowly on campus (15 mph or less), and pay close attention to the pedestrians. DO NOT stop in the mid of the road to drop off your students.

Parking
Parking Lot #1 and #2 by Black Mountain Road entrance are the primary parking areas for Hua Xia parents. Parking space by S-5 building is very limited. When you drop off students at the end of Westview Parkway, please Pull forward as much as you can, and leave as quickly as possible to reduce traffic jam. Be courteous to others as you would like others to you.

Do Not park in front of the office for however quick is your stop. Do Not park in the handicap space without a legal permit. Campus Police can issue violation tickets just as anywhere else.

Cheers, and see you all on Sunday

Xing Bin
