While San Diego Chinese American community is fighting COVID-19 alongside all San Diegans, SDHXCS and Xingjian Dance Studio are fundraising to help our local Senior Homes, where the most vulnerable population lives. So far, we have reached out to a list of Senior homes in UTC, 4S Ranch, Rancho Bernardo, Oceanside, and Downtown. These senior homes are in urgent need of face masks and sanitizing products. • 2020-2021 SDHXCS Credit Program Information Session华夏学分班信息会 is scheduled this Sunday 3/29 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm via a zoom meeting. Dear SDHXCS families,

In the last four days, 14 classroom parents reached out to me and donated their class fund total of almost $3,400 to fight COVID-19. I wanted to pass my sincere thank you to all the parents and teachers for your support and your family self-quarantine! I am sure we don’t have to wait long to greet each other on campus again. Today Liu Laoshi and I have delivered 150 eye masks to several Scripps hospitals and Kaiser Permanente hospitals & 1500 face masks to 4 senior livings and rehab centers. Tomorrow morning, Rady Children’s hospital will come to pick up another 150 eye masks. We will continue looking for PPE with good quality to help senior communities and hospitals. Dear SDHXCS families,

Thank you again to all the parents and teachers, so far, we received 26 class fund donations of over $6,500. At this moment, based on the public data, I believe that we start to see the light from the other end of the tunnel. Therefore, we decided to pause further cash donation to fight COVID-19. In the last 3 weeks, we’ve delivered more than 9,000 face masks, 300 eye masks, hundreds of gloves, and hand sanitizers to 22 local senior livings and hospitals.
